If you believe Congress should:
- Read and understand all bills before they vote
- Publish all bills in a searchable format on a Congressional web site before they vote
- Do away with earmarks and pork attached to any bill
Our goal is simple and easily attainable:
- Vote for Congressmen that believe they should read all bills from beginning to end before they vote on it and vote out Congressmen who voted for the 2009 Stimulus Bill, since they obviously voted for it without READING the entire bill.
- Anyone running for Congress in 2010 is welcome to take the Common Sense for Congress pledge, as long as they vote in favor of legislation we will ask be written that requires all bills to be posted on a Congressional web site for two weeks before being called for a vote and that each bill cover only one topic, effectively doing away with earmarks and pork.
